Sri Pemananda Senior Center is one of the Pihita Foundation’s main services in Sri Lanka. Our headquarters is Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara in Los Angeles, California, USA, and we have been supporting Sri Lanka for many years. SPSC is a nursing home for the senior monks who live in Sri Lanka. We take care of them until they pass away. During their time with us, we provide them with anything they need. We arrange a peaceful and happy place for them in their final stretch of life. In order to reside at SPSC, the monks must have completed higher ordination. If they have not completed higher ordination, they must have completed at least 5 years of their monk (Samanera) hood. Living at SPSC is free, and this place is very convenient for the senior monks.
The founder and general secretary of this center is Venerable Kalabululande Dhammajothi, and he is also one of the secretaries for Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara Los Angeles. The location of this center is Sri Meghananda Viharaya, Kadadora Pitiya, Pundalu - Oya, Kotmale; it is in Nuwara Eliya district, Sri Lanka.
